Had yet another interesting conversation today with a caller of mine. He is what I consider a relatively new caller… just for about the last 9 months. I hear from him weekly and he is a super nice guy.

I did all the normal billing stuff to set up his call and when I got back to him “ready to go” he told me “you must be in a good mood today”.

I said “you think so”?

He said, “Yes, but then you always sound like you are happy to hear from me”.

I said, “Well, I am silly”.

This prompted a discussion about phone sex operators. See, this is rather an easy business to get started, or to get a job in, therefore it tends to be flooded with tons of girls. The problem with that is … that just like any other job, not everyone is actually cut out for it. My callers opinion was that only 10% of the phone sex operators are actually good at and enjoy what they do.

I said, “Really? Has that been your experience?”

He said, “Yes, that has been my experience, without exaggeration.”

WOW, wow, Wowsy whoo whoo. I find this shocking. I told him that it was unfortunate for him to waste that much money to even come to this conclusion.

He said the money wasn’t the issue really. He just considers it a “throw away” call too when he gets someone who has no real interest in him or his fantasies. However, I still think it’s a sad view of the phone sex industry.

I hear this stuff often from callers. It always stuns me. Maybe I am too normal. I just can’t understand any kind of business, or even doing any kind of job… and not wanting to do your best.

Of course, I have talked to callers that I didn’t “click” with. I have also talked to guys whose fantasy isn’t my personal taste, and I have spoken to clients whose fantasies I didn’t even understand. I either do my very best with those callers, or I tell them straight up… “look it’s not going to work with me, you’d be better off going somewhere else”.

Am I stupid for passing up the bucks? No, not in my opinion. My goal is to be sure I am spreading happiness in my life. Hey, if that includes a guy jerking off with a smile, than I feel my work is worthwhile.

But sheesh, I am amazed that callers often feel that way after phone sex. You know, phone sex doesn’t have to be a shady deal, or a skanky experience, and it doesn’t have to lack ethics or even morality.

I cannot fathom fully why many callers feel this way. I do think it’s a shame though. No matter what you pay for, you should get your money’s worth. The business shouldn’t matter either, phone sex or a haircut…. You should be pleased at the end of both.

Something that is rarely said or at least I’ve never seen it said so on a phone sex site…. Is that YOUR “sound” is very important to the level of “fun” you get on a phone sex call.

I have had many guys call me for instance on such shitty cell phones, that I have to have them repeat themselves many times. Um… that’s a turn off for you and for me. Cell phones also have a tendency to “drop” calls all the time, which can become frustrating and annoying.

Speaker Phones… omg ewwww, their sound quality is crap too. They either sound like the receiver is shoved in your mouth or you sound a million miles away.

Internet phones suck… Skype (which is blocked from my service altogether) and macjik jack phones all suck too. No nice way to say it… the quality is crap.

If I can’t hear you well… you are probably not going to get a good phone sex call. It’s distracting if I have to focus too hard on every word to “hear” you rather than “absorbing” what you say. I make sure I have a quality phone and a good headset. I spend a great deal of research and money on them to be sure I’ve got the best equipment. And before you second guess me lol I had a physical recently and my hearing was checked…. They told me that my hearing was 100%. The doctor even said that rarely does anyone score perfectly…. But I did. So….

Yes, it’s true and it all has to be true for other phone sex operators too. If we can’t hear you well then it does have an impact on your call, and not in a positive way. When you place a call with a phone sex service use a good phone, it makes all the difference sometimes.

I talk about all sorts of things with my callers. It could all be a fantasy or it could be real communication about sex topics.
